I used to only go to the dentist when there was a problem. The only problem with that kind of thing is that because I did not go on a regular basis, I ended up going even more than I should have. I do recognize the irony in that now, but I really didn't get it before. The last time I had a toothache, I decided to look for a new dentist in Livermore. The one I had gone to the last two times was just not one that I felt comfortable with, and I just felt it was time for a change.
That turned everything around for me as far as my oral health is concerned. All this time, I thought that all dentists were alike, but going to Foothill Dental Care showed me that there are definitely dentists with different types of personalities as well as skills. I had made an appointment to have a tooth looked at since it was hurting me, and this dental practice was able to see me right away. I was really happy with the staff just from the phone call, and it did not take me long to find out that they were all like this.
I admit that I was afraid when I first went in. Fear is what kept me from going on a regular basis in the first place. It was this first appointment at Foothill Dental Care that taught me that not all dentists are the same. The dentist I had that day treated me with respect, and I did not feel like he was judging me at all. He even asked me why I was not keeping up with my dental care, and he was very understanding. I went back for a cleaning a few weeks later, and I have not missed an appointment since.
